This posting infuriates me. You do not have all the facts about this and Sean is not a scumbag. He is a stupid 21 year old guy, who made a mistake. Sean obviously should not have had sex with a 14 year old - but he is not a predator. He did not go out trolling for little girls or boys on the internet. Both of them live in the same town and of course there was alcohol involved. He deserves to be punished, but he does not deserve to be called a predator, have his name on the database for the rest of his life, or serve 7 years in prison. Why not public service, or volunteer work, probation, and a year of time in the county jail? This is extreme punishment.

Where was the mother and father of that 14 year old when she was out doing guys behind the buildings in Ravena? I have heard she is now pregnant. Obviously, she was a sexualized child, and will continue along this path until she receives treatment.

You had better be careful about what you are posting - who are the investigators that said that Sean groomed her? You do not know what you are talking about. I think people can get sued for printing misinformation.

This adds to the public hysteria, grabs headlines, and does NO GOOD.

We need treatment programs, responsible parents and good useful information. Even with those things, people are still going to be victims/survivors, and some will commit crimes. That is human nature and has happened since time began. We must learn to deal with the aftermath, and try to prevent more of these crimes with education.

This is not a useful site, or worth the time reading if you are not going to post factual information.
